Horseback Riding

Two-hour horseback trail-ride excursions, in the morning or the afternoon average about $40 per person. Instruction in horseback riding can be found in many of the local areas also. Golf If you are the type of golfer that can't go a week without working on your chip shot, or other aspects of your golf game, there is an aqua-driving range open most afternoons at Grand Cul-de-Sac, where a bucket of golf balls costs a few dollars, with clubs included. There is also transportation availible to the different golf course.

Diving & Snorkeling

Several dive shops arrange scuba excursions to local sites. Depending on weather conditions, you may dive at Pain de Sucre, Coco Island , or toward nearby Saba . There's also an underwater shipwreck to dive and explore, plus sharks, rays, sea tortoises, coral, and the usual varieties of colorful fish seen while diving. For the uncertified diver who still wants to see what the island's waters hold, there's an accessible shallow reef right off the beach at Anse de Cayes if you have your own mask and fins. Several local water-sports shops can arrange guided dive trips further out.

Windsurfing

Windsurfing fever has definitely caught on in St. Barths. Gentle, constant trade winds make conditions ideal on most of the beaches. You can rent boards for about $20 an hour at water-sports centers on the beaches. Lessons are offered for about $40 an hour and for $60, you can typically have a one-hour introductory lesson, along with the use of the windsurfer for as long as you can stand up
